Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get a heel hook, by using the matrix position. The opponent starts to engage with Lucas and Lucas immediately goes for the de la riva and hooks his other foot under the other leg. He under hooks the de la riva leg with his arm and opens his legs so he can pendulum. He uses his other arm to grip the back of the calf. Lucas now brings his outside leg over the opponent’s leg and loops behind it, hooking the other leg with his foot. From this position, Lucas lifts his hips up and sweeps the opponent. In this scenario, the opponent immediately starts to turn away to avoid a knee bar. Lucas just follows the opponent and pushes the leg in as they roll. From here, Lucas is able to lock the heel hook.
