Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to transition to the mount position, after transitioning out of the opponent’s double under and sweeping the opponent. Lucas has both sleeve grips on the opponent and is keeping his legs heavy on the biceps. One leg is brought up and placed on the shoulder to help push the opponent and create space. The other foot is now placed on the opponent’s shoulder to keep pushing the opponent even further, enough for Lucas to place both of his feets on the opponent’s biceps and establish the spider guard. Lucas then extends one leg and bends the other while still holding the sleeve grips. He switches from one side to the other a couple of times. Once he decides to go for the sweep, the leg that is bent is brought out and swung around to trap the opponent’s knee. Lucas comes up on his elbow and uses the other foot on the bicep and the trapped knee to sweep the opponent to the side. Lucas then comes up and gets the mount position.
