Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from a straight ankle lock when the opponent has him in the 50/50 guard. Lucas and the opponent are in the 50/50 guard and the opponent has the straight ankle lock. Lucas starts the escape by gripping the opponent’s bottom leg and comes up on his knee making sure it’s close to the opponent’s leg. The opponent unlocks his legs to try to come up but Lucas takes advantage of this and immediately locks the ankle. From here, Lucas can slide his knee thru and lowers his hips to get the straight ankle lock. If the opponent blocks the hip, then Lucas can slide his other foot in between the opponent’s legs and finish from there.
