Flower Sweep From Closed Guard to Mount Position (Fundamentals)

Professor Donovan Espinosa teaches how to sweep the opponent from the closed guard using the flower sweep. Donovan has the opponent in his closed guard and controls the same side sleeve with one hand. He uses his other hand to grip the outside of the pants, by the knee. Donovan now uses his closed guard to pull the opponent towards him. He then opens the guard and slides one leg up underneath the armpit on the same side he is gripping the pants. Donovan uses the grip on the pants to lift the opponent as he pushes the opponent to the side with his leg to sweep. From here, Donovan goes to the mount position.
