Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from a guard pass by controlling the forearm and shows how to get to the back control or mount position. The opponent starts to pass Lucas’ guard by using the knee cut pass or a toreada pass. Lucas immediately controls and blocks the near side arm on the bicep and wrist. He bridges in an attempt to escape but in the scenario the opponent uses the elbow to block the hip. Lucas now slides the hand that was controlling the bicep to the back under the arm. He uses his other arm to post on the mat so he can sit up. From here, he brings his feet back and reverses the opponent by pushing forward. If the opponent goes to his knees, then Lucas bridges again and slides his knee out the side. He then turns to the outside and pulls the opponent to take the back.
