Half Lasso with Sleeve and Collar Control Guard Pass to Side Control (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to pass an opponent’s guard when they have the half lasso and are controlling the sleeve and same side collar. Lucas is trying to pass the opponent’s guard and the opponent has the half lasso and is controlling the sleeve and same side collar. Lucas moves in and removes the half lasso by placing his same side knee over the opponent’s leg. At the same time, he is also hooking the leg with his ankle to prevent the opponent from moving. The other hand is used to circle around the leg to control it. The opponent reacts by pushing to recompose the guard and Lucas just opens his knee and then jumps over to the opponent's side.
