Heel Hook Escape Variation to Back Take (Advanced)

April 15, 2021 on 06:45 144 4

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from a heel hook attempt, as soon as the opponent lifts the hips to adjust. The opponent locks his legs in a figure four on Lucas’ leg in an attempt to get the heel hook submission. Lucas immediately turns his heel back and turns to the side. He places one hand on the opponent’s knee and the other is used to post on the mat. The opponent lifts his hips to adjust his grips. Lucas immediately turns his leg to the other side and pushes on the knee to move back. In this variation, the opponent keeps trying to get Lucas’ leg back. Lucas brings his outside knee in over the stomach and spins over the opponent. This makes the opponent turn in a way that allows Lucas to immediately take the back control.
