Knee Cut Pass Alternative to Side Control (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches another option to get to the side control when the knee cut is not possible. Lucas starts by going for a knee cut pass. The opponent reacts by under hooking the far side leg. This prevents Lucas from using the knee cut to pass. Before the opponent is able to get Lucas into the deep half guard, Lucas slides his knee to the other side and controls the opponent’s arm to prevent them from taking the back. Lucas then slides his other leg over and turns towards the opponent to pass.
