Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to execute a back take after attempting a knee cut pass when the opponent defends with a knee shield. Lucas starts to go for the knee cut pass but the opponent tries to defend by pushing Lucas and puts the knee shield in. Lucas releases the grip on the collar and grips the opponent’s lower back securing the hip and the knee shield leg. In this situation the opponent attempts to turn away from Lucas. Lucas responds by switching to the seatbelt grip. From here Lucas brings the opponent back to him, inserting the bottom hook and then the top hook to complete the back take.
