De La Riva and Lasso Guard Sweep when an Opponent Defends by Posting (Intermediate)

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri explains how to sweep from the De La Riva and lasso guard when his opponent defends by posting his free hand. From the De La Riva guard position, Lucas first breaks the grip and pushes the leg of his opponent to establish his lasso. Lucas then off-balances his opponent, causing him to post his free hand on the mat and allowing Lucas to circle his foot to the hip. He topples the opponent with a push on the hip, and then either finishes in knee on belly position or begins passing if the opponent is able to establish a guard after being swept.
