Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to escape from the lasso when the opponent is wearing the belt. The opponent has the de la riva and is able to also get the lasso. As soon as he gets the lasso, Lucas immediately grips the belt on the same side. The de la riva leg is now pushed down with the other hand. Lucas now points his foot out and drops his knee over the shin. The other knee is brought in and placed over the same leg. In this scenario, the opponent uses his knee and hand on the chest to block Lucas. Lucas now releases the pressure on the legs by stepping back while still keeping pressure on the opponent with his grips and forehead. He now brings one knee in and uses the foot to trap the opponent’s leg. From here, Lucas is able to pass to the side control position.
