Lasso With De La Riva Sweep to Side Control When Opponent Reacts (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to sweep the opponent using the Lasso and De La Riva when the opponent applies pressure. Lucas starts in the open guard and gets the lasso grip and the De La Riva. In this scenario the opponent knows that Lucas can go to the reverse De La Riva to try and sweep him, so the opponent applies pressure against Lucas’s leg to prevent it. Lucas instead just uses the Lasso and same side leg to push on the opponent. He then sweeps the opponent to the side with the De La Riva hook and Lasso grip and gets the side control.
