Lasso With De La Riva to Sit Up Guard to Takedown (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down, after a series of transitions that start with the lasso. Lucas grips both sleeves and goes for the spider guard. He slightly turns to the side so he can set up the lasso. In this scenario, the opponent moves his knee in to attempt to break Lucas’ grip. Lucas takes advantage of the situation and immediately goes for the de la riva on that same side. He now sits up and feeds the lapel to his other hand. He uses his foot on the hip to keep the opponent away. Lucas now does a technical stand up and brings the opponent’s leg up. From here, he is able to take the opponent down.
