Professor Donovan Espinosa teaches how to escape when the opponent is in the mount position. The opponent has the mount position on Donovan and Donovan starts the escape by framing with his hand and elbow against the hips. He stretches out his bottom leg so he can use his elbow to push the opponent’s same side leg down. Donovan then grips the outside of the leg so he can slide his leg under and then locks it in a figure four with his other leg. The opponent’s leg is then pushed all the way through and Donovan shifts his hips as he under hooks the opponent. From here, Donovan frames against the opponent so he can then take his legs out and recomposes the guard.
