Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get an ankle lock when the opponent starts with one knee up and the other down. The opponent has one knee up and the other down. Lucas starts to engage by gripping the collar and leg of the knee that is up. He now uses his foot to hook the ankle and then pulls himself forward. He starts lifting the opponent up with his hook as he pulls on the grips. This allows Lucas to transition to the one leg X. Lucas now grips his own collar under the opponent’s leg and pushes away so he can circle his leg out. He now switches the position of his hooks and turns the opponent to the opposite side. From here, he finishes with the straight ankle lock.
