Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to escape from the mount position after being swept by the opponent using the scissor sweep. Lucas starts in the opponent’s closed guard. The opponent grips Lucas’ sleeve and the same side collar. He unlocks his legs so he can place his knee on Lucas’ chest. The opponent now pulls and pushes Lucas, when Lucas reacts by pushing forward is when the opponent sweeps him to the mount position. Immediately after the opponent gets the mount, Lucas raises his hips to make the opponent post the hands on the mat. Lucas then traps the arm and same side foot to prevent the opponent from posting so he can then bridge and reverse the opponent to get to his closed guard.
