Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to escape from the North South position, starting from a side control escape attempt. Lucas has the frame on the opponent, instead of using his far side hand to push on the opponent’s hips, he brings it in right under the opponent’s arm pit. Lucas uses the frame to push the opponent as he shrimps out and slides his near side arm under the opponent’s arm. Lucas then tries to bump the opponent over his head. The opponent reacts by moving to the North South position. From here, Lucas keeps his elbows tight and uses them to push the opponent. He starts rocking back and forth and uses his elbows to push the opponent back. He creates enough space so he can bring his knees up and under to the opponent's shoulders. Lucas then uses his feet on the opponent’s shoulder to push him away, so he can then recompose the guard.
