Professor Lucas Lepri teaches a side control escape, when the opponent tries to mount. The opponent has Lucas in the side control position. In this scenario, Lucas can’t use his frame because the opponent has his arms connected around the neck and applying pressure. The opponent decides to go for the mount position by sliding his knee over the belly. Lucas immediately takes advantage of this and traps the arm and the same side leg. He bridges and turns the opponent over to escape from the side control. Lucas is now in the opponent’s closed guard.
