Description

Professor Frederico Silva teaches how to get the Kimura submission by isolating the arm using the north south position. Frederico starts in the side control and brings his outside arm over the opponent’s head. His other hand is now placed on the other side to control the hip. By blocking the opponent’s hip and arm, Frederico is able to start transitioning to the north south position. Once in the north south position, the opponent tries to defend by placing his arms over the back. Frederico takes advantage of this and isolates the arm. He applies pressure forward to make the opponent extend the arm. As the opponent tries to move the arm away, Frederico locks the kimura and gets the submission.
