Single Leg Defense to Back Control (Fundamentals)

December 24, 2018 on 17:41 298 3

Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to defend from a single leg attack and shows how to take the opponent's back. The opponent shoots for the single leg and lifts Lucas’ leg up. Lucas immediately loops his outside hand through the opponent’s arm and cups his own thigh. The other hand is used to control the opponent’s head. As the opponent tries to take Lucas down, Lucas follows and leans on the opponent posting with his outside hand creating pressure with his other arm. As the opponent lets go of the leg, Lucas sprawls and goes to the side to control the back. He then secures the seatbelt grip and rolls the opponent to then take the back.
