Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down using an ankle pick, after locking up with head and shoulder control. Lucas moves in and ties up with the opponent. One hand is placed on the back of the neck and the other arm is used to control the shoulder by under hooking the arm. Lucas now snaps the opponent down using the control on the neck and moves the hand from the back of the neck to the chin. He makes sure to maintain chest pressure over the back. Lucas now releases the control on the shoulder and uses that hand to reach for the near side ankle. From here, Lucas now pulls on the ankle and pushes the opponent back to take him down.
