Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to use the one leg x to transition to a sweep and an X pass. Lucas starts standing, controlling the collar and the sleeve. He moves in and sits in between the opponents legs, pulling the opponent back so he can go to the one leg X. Once in the one leg X, he makes sure to grip the pants and controls the sleeve, pulling the opponent down to prevent him from escaping. Lucas uses his legs to push and pull the opponent. The opponent defends by turning their knee in and basing. Lucas pulls the collar to the side, making the opponent post on the mat with their hand. The grip from the collar is now released, and placed on the far side of pants near the bottom. The opponent once again attempts to defend by turning in. Lucas releases his one leg X leg and brings it to the inside, between the opponents legs. Lucas uses the grips on the pants and his legs to push the opponent over, to sweep. From here, Lucas maintains the grips on the pants and goes for an X pass to the north south position.
