Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to defend a knee cut using the kiss of the dragon. The opponent moves in in an attempt to pass using the knee cut. Lucas immediately prevents it by going to the reverse de la riva. As soon as the opponent's heel comes off the mat, Lucas grips it. Lucas uses the reverse de la riva and the grip on the foot to lift the opponent up so he can immediately spin underneath. The opponent reacts by trying to turn around and face Lucas. Lucas circles his top leg underneath the opponent’s and uses it to hook the back of the other knee. From here, Lucas can then come up and pass to the side control. Another option is before he comes up, Lucas can wrap his arm around the ankle and steps over the leg to get the ankle lock from the top.
