Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to transition from a knee on belly escape, to controlling the back and submitting the opponent. Lucas starts with the open guard and the opponent starts to pass, managing to get to the knee on belly position. Lucas controls the knee and ankle and then bridges up unbalancing the opponent forwards. The opponent’s leg falls into Lucas’ half guard. As the opponent is shifted forward, Lucas controls the back with his arm. He then switches his hooks on the leg so he can come up. From there, Lucas is able to take back control and submit the opponent with a collar choke, or armbar.
