Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to submit an opponent with a guillotine choke when he uses a knee shield and ankle grip from reverse De La Riva guard to defend against the knee cut pass. In this situation, Lucas breaks the grip on his ankle, pins the opponent's wrist to the mat, and holds around the opponent's neck with a collar tie grip. He then points his knee outward and drives it to the mat, passing his other leg in front of the opponent's knee and threatening to mount while keeping his knee up and foot planted on the mat. At this point Lucas attacks with the submission, dropping his shoulder behind the opponent's head and cupping the chin before connecting his hands for the guillotine. Lucas completes the submission by digging his heel into the opponent's side and driving his hips down into the opponent's neck to apply the guillotine choke.
