Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get a triangle choke variation from the closed guard while holding the opponents belt. Lucas starts in the closed guard and breaks the posture by gripping the collar and reaching under the other arm around the neck. Lucas pulls the opponent in, breaking the posture. The hand that was used to control the back of the neck is now used to reach over the back to control the belt. Lucas now breaks the opponent’s lapel grip and slides his shin in front of the arm while controlling the hand. Lucas now shrimps out a little so he can lock his legs over the opponent’s shoulder while still controlling the belt. He now slides both arms behind his own legs to an s grip. He squeezes everything together to get the choke. If Lucas is not able to connect his hands together, then he adjusts his legs and goes for a regular triangle.
