Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to transition to an armbar from the side control position. As the opponent creates a frame, Lucas takes advantage of this by releasing his grips and moving the arm that was underneath the opponents head over to trap the arm. Once he traps the arm, he moves his other arm to the opponent’s hips to block him, so he can then transition to the north south position. Once in the north south position, Lucas raises the elbow of the arm that is trapping the opponent's arm to lift his opponent onto his side. Once there, he steps to the side and gets the armbar.
