Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to pass the butterfly guard when the opponent attempts to sweep. The opponent has Lucas in the butterfly, but has his back on the mat. Lucas has both of his arms next to the opponent’s torso and his head on the chest. The opponent now starts to come up in an attempt to sweep. Lucas immediately grips the back with one hand and he grips the opposite side leg with his other arm. He turns his knee in and back steps. As he is stepping to the side, Lucas keeps driving forward and applies pressure. From here, Lucas stays on the side control or he can also mount the opponent.
