Professor Frederico Silva teaches how to get the cross collar choke from the back, after attempting to get the clock choke when the opponent is in the turtle position. The opponent is in the turtle position and Frederico reaches over the back and under the arm to grip the same side collar. He then feeds the lapel to his other hand and slides it up the neck, releasing the initial grip on the collar. The hand that is now free is used to grip the opponent's arm. In this scenario, the opponent tries to defend by rolling forward. Frederico rolls with the opponent and then transitions to take the back. Once Frederico takes control of the opponent’s back, he finishes with the cross collar choke.
