Closed Guard Double Ankle Sweep to Mount (Fundamentals)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a double ankle sweep when an opponent stands up in the closed guard. In this situation, Lucas holds both of the opponent’s sleeves as the opponent stands while holding Lucas’ lapels with both hands. Lucas releases the sleeves and traps both ankles with his hands. Then, he unlocks the closed guard and pinches his knees together and extends them to complete the sweep. When the opponent attempts to sit up and posts his arm on the mat, Lucas grips the far-side collar and turns his hips while he pulls the opponent to him to finish in the mount position.
