Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get the cross collar choke after breaking the opponent’s grip and isolating the arm. Lucas has the closed guard and reaches for the opposite side sleeve. He grips the top of it and slides his other hand under the arm to grip his own wrist. This allows Lucas to break the opponent’s grip. Lucas then brings the arm up and uses his other arm to trap the arm. He then slides his hand under the arm to grip the opposite side collar. from here, Lucas now grips the other collar with his opposite side hand and finishes the cross collar choke.
