Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get three variations of the triangle submission, by isolating the arm in the closed guard. Lucas has the closed guard and reaches for the opposite side sleeve. He grips the top of it and slides his other hand under the arm to grip his own wrist. This allows Lucas to break the opponent’s grip. Lucas then brings the arm up and uses his other arm to trap the arm. In this scenario, the opponent blocks Lucas’ attempt to reach for the cross collar by blocking with his hand. Lucas releases the grip on the collar and grips the sleeve of the hand the opponent used to block. He now pushes that arm under his guard and locks his legs over the shoulders. From this position, Lucas can now reach behind his own legs and grips his hands together to get the choke. He also has the option of going to the regular triangle, or the reverse triangle.
