Cross-Collar Grip to Ankle Pick Sweep from Open Guard (Intermediate)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches the ankle pick sweep from open guard. Starting with a cross-grip on the lapel, Lucas uses his free hand to post as his opponent circles with grips on Lucas' pant legs and tries to pass his guard. When the opponent circles away from Lucas' cross-gripping arm, Lucas slides his knee backward and applies the ankle pick. He comes up in the knee cut position, pushing the opponent's leg down and opening his elbow while holding behind the triceps to flatten the opponent. Lucas completes the technique by knee cutting into side control, holding around the opponent's head and establishing the underhook to secure the position.
