Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to defend from the de la riva with a leg drag. The opponent starts with the de la riva controlling the collar. Lucas immediately breaks the collar grip and postures up. He grips the top of the pant leg with the same side hand and the ankle with his other hand. Lucas thrusts his hips forward to push the foot off the hip and then pushes the leg to the side. The grip on the ankle is now moved to the same side collar, locking the opponent’s leg with the elbow. Lucas lowers his base and grips the back to prevent the opponent from moving. The opponent tries to escape by coming up on his elbow. Lucas immediately reaches for the arm and breaks the opponent down. The opponent tries to turn away once again and Lucas is able to take the back control.
