Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to sweep an opponent from De La Riva guard and take the back. The situation begins with Lucas in De La Riva guard with a pants grip and sleeve grip. Crossing his legs behind the opponent’s knee when the opponent pushes them down, Lucas bumps the opponent over his head. Releasing the sleeve, Lucas underhooks the opponent’s knee and creates space to put his outside leg’s foot on the inside of the opponent’s knee. Pushing away, Lucas stands up, still holding the opponent’s leg, and forces the opponent to base with his other knee on the ground. Lucas releases the leg and establishes a seatbelt grip. When the opponent attempts to establish guard by raising his knee and sitting up, Lucas steps over the opponent, hooking his foot into the knee that the opponent raised. Rolling over, Lucas puts in the second hook to complete the back take.
