De La Riva Sweep to Side Control (Intermediate)

Special guest Nadav Mandill, from Israel, teaches a technique at Lucas Lepri Jiu Jitsu Academy. Nadav teaches a sweep from the De La Riva. He starts with the De La Riva and grips the same side lapel and sleeve. Nadav uses his other leg to post on the mat and turns in the direction of the De La Riva hook. He pulls the opponent in and when the opponent reacts, he kicks his leg and pushes on the lapel to sweep. From here, he moves to the side control.
