Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a reverse De La Riva sweep when the opponent defends a sit up sweep from the De La Riva. Lucas starts with the De La Riva and the opponent applies pressure on him with one knee up and the other on the mat. Lucas pushes the opponent and twists his hips to create space so he can remove his De La Riva hook and place it on the opponent’s bicep. Lucas once again moves his hips to the side to create space and sits up. He brings his other leg out placing it next to the opponent’s knee that’s on the mat. Lucas then extends the foot that is on the bicep and tries to trap the knee with his other leg. Lucas tries to sweep the opponent, but the opponent defends by standing up and stepping over Lucas’ leg. Lucas immediately goes for the reverse De La Riva while still keeping the foot on the bicep and lapel grip. He pulls the opponent back making him step forward and as soon as the opponent reacts, Lucas immediately sweeps him by lowering the opponent’s bicep, twisting him down and closing his knees together making the opponent fall back. As the opponent tries to come back, Lucas pulls up on the opponent’s sleeves and stays on top position.
