Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to sweep or submit the opponent with a straight ankle lock when they try to smash the legs. Lucas is playing De La Riva and the opponent starts using his knee to smash Lucas’ legs. Lucas defends by pushing the opponent away creating enough space to slide his leg out and places his thigh behind the opponent’s knee. He sweeps the opponent back giving him the opportunity to get the straight ankle lock. Instead of going to the ankle lock, Lucas can also go for the pass to side control when the opponent tries to come up.
