De La Riva to Tripod Sweep Attempt to Sweep Variation to Leg Drag to Side Control (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get to the side control after attempting to sweep with the tripod sweep and the opponent defends by back stepping. Lucas starts in the de la riva and the opponent prevents him from establishing the proper grips. Lucas decides to go for the tripod sweep but the opponent defends by stepping back. Lucas reacts by circling his leg and placing it behind the leg and reaches for the back of the pants. The opponent once again defends by stepping back. Lucas uses his arms and hooks to push the opponent away so he can come up to reach the collar. He now leg drags the opponent and establishes the side control.
