Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to use the berimbolo to take the back, starting from the de la riva. Lucas has the de la riva and starts to isolate the lapel. He unbalances the opponent by pushing with his inside leg and immediately under hooks the outside leg, so he can feed the lapel to that hand. The other hand is now used to grip the same side lapel. Lucas now pulls the opponent and gets inverted transitioning to the berimbolo. The grip from the top of the lapel is now switched to the back of the pants. In this variation, Lucas always maintains the grip on the lapel. The opponent reacts by trying to jump over to escape. Lucas uses his foot on stomach to prevent the opponent from jumping over. Lucas now pulls the opponent back and lifts up with his legs. When the timing is right, he releases the grip on the sleeve and takes the back.
