Double Collar Grab Defense and Takedown to Mount (Fundamentals)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates a technique to counter an opponent who grabs both collars while standing. Lucas steps forward and connects his hands together, driving them up between the opponent’s arms. He circles his arms out and around to trap his opponent’s arms, connecting his hands underneath his opponent’s arms. Lucas then steps toward the side where his head is and extends his other leg as he sits to force his opponent to the ground. Lucas completes the sweep by following the opponent and landing in the mount position.
