Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to take the opponent down using the double leg takedown. Lucas and the opponent are both standing and Lucas maintains his distance. If the opponent tries to grip, then Lucas either prevents it or breaks it. When Lucas is ready to shoot for the double leg, he lowers his level as he steps forward with one foot. He then drives forward by dropping his knee to the mat and grips the back of the opponent’s legs. Lucas now continues to push forward to take the opponent down.
