Professor Lucas Lepri explains how to escape from a mounted armbar by trapping the leg of the opponent. When the opponent attacks with the armbar, Lucas holds his own arm and grips his own lapel to defend. He then adjusts the position of his knees and pushes the opponent's leg into his half guard. Lucas then pushes the other leg off of his head and bridges over it, putting his back onto the mat. He finishes the escape by turning, putting his elbow on the mat, and coming up into the opponent's closed guard.
