Escape when an Opponent Applies 50/50 Guard and Attempts a Back Take (Advanced)

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates how to defend against a back-take attempt from an opponent in 50/50 guard. When the opponent opens the 50/50 guard to invert and take the back, Lucas immediately posts his hand on the mat and puts his other foot inside the opponent’s guard. He uses both feet to push the opponent away and get up into combat base.
