Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a sweep from the reverse De La Riva when the opponent defends a sweep from the De La Riva position. Lucas fakes that he is going to pull guard, and as the opponent reacts he goes for the De La Riva position. Once in that position, he tries to do a sweep but the opponent defends by putting Lucas’ foot down and grabbing the lapel. Lucas changes his grips to grab the opponent’s arms instead. The foot that was put on the ground by the opponent is now used to hook the opponent's left leg in the reverse De La Riva. Lucas places his left foot on the mat and uses it to help him push and pull the opponent as he extends and lifts the opponent up with his right foot. He uses the grips on the opponent’s arms to pull down on the right arm and lifts on the left arm to help him with the sweep. Lucas sweeps the opponent over himself and rolls with the opponent to establish the side control position.
