Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows a transition from a guard pull to armbar attempt, to an Ouch Gari from the back, to the back take. Lucas tries to go for the armbar from the guard pull, but the opponent defends by pulling his arm out and by posturing up. Lucas immediately inverts himself reaching under the opponent with his near side hand to the opponent’s far side leg and his far side hand to the opponent’s near side leg. He puts both knees under the opponent, placing the back of the opponent’s legs onto his shins. Lucas then releases one grip from the pants and grips the opponent’s belt from the back or his pants. He tries to lift and push the opponent to take the back, but the opponent reacts putting his weight forward. Lucas instead places his elbow on the mat of the same side hand he is holding the opponents leg to help him post. He steps back and keeps one knee on the ground and the other foot up. He uses the foot that is up to do the Ouchi Gari on the opponent to bring him down, he immediately grips the opposite collar with the hand he was using to grip the pants or belt. He then places his knee in between the opponent's arm and leg, opposite to the hand he gripped the collar with. He hooks the leg, brings the opponent back, hip escapes and takes the opponent’s back.
