Description

Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get an armbar, after pulling guard and sweeping the opponent. Lucas starts with the collar and sleeve control. He steps on the opponent’s hip on the same side he has the sleeve control to pull guard. As he pulls guard, he is able to close the guard around the opponent while the opponent is still standing. He releases the grip on the collar and under hooks the same side leg. Lucas starts to climb his legs up and brings his outside leg over the opponent’s head in an attempt to lock the armbar. The opponent defends the armbar by locking his arms together. Lucas now slides the inside hand through the arms to cup his own thigh and places his other hand under the opponent’s knee. He pushes the opponent diagonally to sweep him over. From here, Lucas now breaks the opponent’s armbar defense by pushing the top elbow out and gets the armbar submission.
