Professor Lucas Lepri teaches how to get to the mount position, by sweeping the opponent with an overhead sweep. Lucas and the opponent are standing and Lucas is controlling the collar and the opposite side arm. Lucas pulls guard and immediately goes to the de la riva. He pulls the opponent down to shift the weight forward making it easier to sweep. Lucas lifts the opponent up with his legs and sweeps him over the head, immediately going for the mount position. If the opponent resists the initial pull, Lucas maintains the grips so when the opponent pulls Lucas, Lucas gets pulled closer to the legs. Lucas then pulls the opponent to unbalance him and goes for the sweep.
