Description

Professor Lucas Lepri demonstrates an omoplata attack from a guard pull. Lucas begins by pulling guard with a sleeve and far-side collar grip, and blocks the shoulder by placing his leg high on the opponent’s back. He releases the grips as he passes his leg over the opponent’s shoulder as he reaches across and grips the opponent’s back. He locks his ankles and rocks to come up to a sitting position and scoots his hips back to avoid being stacked by the opponent. He releases his grip and reaches across the back and under the arm to grip the lapel. When Lucas switches his legs to come up, the opponent lifts his hips and rolls. Lucas retains the lapel grip and rolls with the opponent. Once he completes the roll, Lucas locks his legs in a figure four, grabs the back of the opponent’s gi, and reaches under the opponent’s arm to grab the bicep. Lucas then unlocks his legs and hip escapes back to complete the submission.
