Description

Professor Lucas Lepri shows how to take the back, after passing the opponent’s half guard. Lucas grips the opponent’s far side collar with one hand and grips the bottom knee going under the knee shield. Lucas lifts his outside knee and cuts it in over the opponent’s shin. Lucas looks in the direction of the opponent’s legs and brings his outside knee to the hips. The opponent tries to turn into Lucas. This creates a pace for Lucas to use for taking the back. Once the opponent starts to turn, Lucas releases the grip on the pants and slides his hand and knee right under the opponent’s hip. He then rolls and takes the opponent’s back. Once he has the back, he can go for the submission.
